Lime-white bloom above the alliums

Limelight Prime is carrying a broader, more substantial late-July display now, with large lime-white heads held across the upright shrub.

Season notes
The alliums still make a soft continuous pink layer at the base, while orange milkweed keeps the foreground warm. Foliage and flowers both look clean.

Lime panicles above the alliums

Limelight Prime has become the tall flowering center of the bed, with lime panicles distributed across a broad, upright framework.

Season notes
The pale pink ornamental onions now form a continuous front layer, Gold Dust aucuba anchors the left side, and the cucumber vine climbs at the right. The hydrangea foliage looks full and clean.

Early panicle texture

A tight view shows the green flower head opening from the lower portion upward, with small fertile flowers and larger pale florets mingled through the panicle.

Season notes
The head is still in its early lime phase rather than the later creamy-white stage. New buds remain visible near the tip, so the texture will continue to fill out.
